The competitive Valley Oak League swimming standings have long been ruled by the likes of Sierra and Sonora, but Oakdale’s recent dominance has begun a whole new tradition of excellence in the conference. Oakdale cruised past the Sonora boys and edged the Sonora girls by a slim margin to claim an undefeated VOL title on April 19.

Oakdale’s relay teams were perfect in the pool all season to lead the program and were a big reason for the collective success. The momentum of victories should carry Oakdale into a big run into the postseason this year. Oakdale’s swim program members earn collective Athlete of the Week recognition for their efforts this season.
