Oakdale High cross country senior Haily Macedo ran to a terrific season in her final prep year as a Mustang harrier, but her success didn’t end there.

Macedo showcased her determination and athleticism far away from home at the 2010 AAU National Cross Country Championships at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 4.

Competing against some of the nation’s top runners in the Young Women’s division, Macedo sped to an incredible fifth place finish.

The Mustang senior earns Athlete of the Week honor for her efforts, one more accolade in an already fantastic year.

Her exploits will be of interest during the spring season if she chooses to take on distance events for the OHS track and field program.
