The imposing form of Oakdale High senior first baseman Ericksen Dickens has loomed over Valley Oak League plates like an ominous shadow. The slugger has hit safely in each of Oakdale’s four conference contests with two home runs and nine RBIs recorded.

He was 5 for 6 with a double and home run against East Union, then added four hits, four RBIs, a double and home run during back-to-back wins over Kimball. Dickens hit his second VOL yard-ball during an 11-0 win over Kimball on March 28. He earns Athlete of the Week recognition for his efforts.
