Football Players Earn All-League Honors

Shortly after their second place finish to Valley Oak League rival Sierra in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 4 championship game, several Oakdale Mustang football players were tapped for All-League honors.

Center Owen Pena received First Team Center honors. Angel Pennenurri was also named to the First Team Offensive Line. Quarterback Jackson Holt was named to the Second Team while Peyton Bradford received Second Team honors as a tight end. The Mustangs backfield was recognized as Zeke Saffar and Leo Ayala were both named to the Second Team. Senior Diego Valdez was named to the Second Team Offensive Line.

On the defensive side, Dominic Marenco and Isaac Valero both were named to First Team Defensive Line. Cameron Snow was named to the First Team Inside Linebackers. Dom McDonald was named to the First Team Safety/Defensive Backs.

Individual honors were also handed out where Peyton Bradford was named as the VOL’s Outstanding Defensive Player. Bradford was a two-way player for the Mustangs as a tight end and defensive end.

Gage McFee, Ben Chappell, Nico Villegas, Noah Chelberg and Max Marin were all Honorable Mention recipients.
