I would like to thank my wife Gayle, family and friends, all the good people of Oakdale, City employees and staff that have supported me as an elected public servant for our great City. A lot of positive things were completed during my eight years as a Council Member and four years as your Mayor. To name a few: 450 acres of Industrial land were annexed into the City, Sconza Candy Company and Blue Diamond filled the vacant buildings left by Hershey, Con Agra Foods expanded their facilities, 93 million dollars were allocated for the construction of Oakdale’s section of the North County Corridor, Mid Valley Foods relocated to Oakdale, and Walgreens opened. The present and future jobs created by these conscious efforts are crucial to Oakdale’s continued financial health as a community. I’m extremely proud of those accomplishments.
I hold high the honor and responsibilities you bestowed upon me. Oakdale is still the greatest City of them all because of the involved, kind and giving folks that choose to call Oakdale their home. I’m one of those folks and I will continue to be engaged in helping shape Oakdale’s future. I want to thank you all for the tremendous opportunity of the last 12 years and I’ll see you around town!
