Tony Medina passed away October 27, 2017. He was born April 23, 1935 to John Medina and Frances Portillo Medina.
Tony loved people, and his caring ways always maintained a natural instinct and thoughtful desire to help others. Over his lifetime, he helped numerous people through challenging times.
His favorite gift was his spiritual faith with Jesus and he treasured his church family at Trinity Lutheran Church in Georgetown, CA. Tony was very passionate about his work, whether it was his water Construction job with Dutra, from 1979 to the present, or working at landscaping his own garden, cooking or hosting parties. His fondest hobby was aviation and he loved sharing his stories and experiences about flying his Cessna 172 airplane.
When Tony was young, he served in the California National Guard and has always held a great love for our great country.
Tony is survived by his wife, Sydney Medina; sister, Carmen Medina Dalke; sister-in-laws, Mary Medina and Norma Medina; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Josephine Medina Shipman; brothers, Daniel Medina, Oliver Medina, Bill Medina, John Medina and George Medina.
We grieve the passing of such a special man and are inspired by his Life.
Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6417 Main St, Georgetown, CA on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. A Fellowship will follow the service.
A Graveside service will be at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, 701 East J Street, Oakdale CA, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. A memorial luncheon will be hosted at the Shipman Family in Oakdale, following the Graveside.
