Terry Lee Hurst, 68, of Rathdrum, Idaho, died Friday, Sept. 24 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, but spent most of his life in the Oakdale area before moving to Idaho in 1995.

Mr. Hurst loved being with family, he loved the outdoors, and he had a passion for old cars, including the ‘40 Chevy he was restoring at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hurst of Rathdrum, Idaho; children, Mike Hurst, Greg (Hilda) Hurst, Kristie Hurst (Joe) Sousa; brother, John (Karen) Hurst, all of Oakdale; grandchildren, Ryan Hurst, Heather and Max Hurst, Steven, Michael and Gregory Sousa; and nieces, Jen and Dawn Hurst.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Eunice Hurst.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday Oct. 4 at Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery, Oakdale.
