Her family was very involved in the Portuguese community. She was a princess and Queen several times at many Portuguese festivals.

Rosemay was an amazing seamstress; making costumes for church programs etc. She enjoyed arts and crafts and making homemade jams and jellies. She loved planning parties too!

Whatever she was doing, she put her whole heart into it. She was a very hard worker no matter what the job was. What an awesome cook she was too! Her number one job was being a Mom and Homemaker. Her second job was head teller at Bank of America in Modesto for 15 years. She then became Owner and Bookkeeper for the next 25 years for Oakdale Equipment Rental; along with her husband Thoral. Rosemay and Thoral joined and became members 50 years ago of the Modesto Model A Club.

They enjoyed many wonderful friends and countless trips while touring the United States and Canada in their beloved 1929 Model A Ford Coupe “CRICKET”.

Rosemay was preceded in death by her husband Thoral of which they would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this July. She has joined him only two-and-a-half months after his passing, her son Britt and granddaughter Jenessa Rosemae Pitassi.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Kimberly and Patrice. Her seven grandchildren; Heather and Joshua Kain, Sadie Chambers (Quinn), J.P. Pitassi (Shawna), Jarod Pitassi (Corissa) and Thoral Reece Kenner. Her six great grandchildren; Branden Castenada, Jenessa, Hayden, Timothy, Bryan and Henry Pitassi.
