Richard Arthur Pottle was born to Max and Phyllis Pottle September 14, 1955 in Richmond, CA. On October 3, 1965 the family moved to Oakdale, CA. After he turned 16 you could find him in a 1914 Model T with his friends out cruising. Rick and his friends were taken in a 1911 Stoddard Dayton, to his graduation in 1973 part of a bet made with his Dad. Rick worked at Contadina for several years during Pack where he was a forklift operator. He went to work on the Wishon Hydro project as a blaster known as Mini Miner. He also worked the Spicer Project and Burney Falls. He was a supervisor on the Tri Dam Project at Lake Tulloch.
In 1993 he started R.A.P.id Embroidery. Projects like Pink Floyd, Division Bell Album Roadie Jackets, Medlen’s House of Beef, Hershey’s, Oakdale High School and OHE Sand & Gravel were just some of his 25 years in business.
Rick joined his father, Max, October 10, 2020 leaving his son Alexander Max Pottle, wife Aimee, mother Phyllis D. Pottle, older brother Mike Pottle (Debbie), sister Deborah Pottle, daughter Jennifer (Steve) Borja, niece Addison, daughter Jessica Laughlin (Jeff), daughter Georgia May Bradanick, son Cole Laughlin Frary (Kaitlyn). Ricks sister Susan Pottle Lynn (Peter) sons Scott, Ryan and James Lynn. Brothers Mike Sage and Rick Baer.
To all his friends he left behind and his loving dog Mollie. He will be dearly missed.
