Patricia Lee ‘Patti’ Ulrich, 63, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 6 surrounded by her loved ones in San Francisco.

She was born in Warren, OH to Allan and Lucile Ulrich. She came to California in 1951 and the family settled in Knights Ferry in 1957. She attended Knights Ferry Grammar School and Oakdale High School.

Ms. Ulrich went to work at Hershey’s Chocolate in Oakdale in 1967 and remained a faithful employee until the plant closed and relocated.

Following her successful career at Hershey’s, she embarked on a new career path, attending Valley College in Modesto where she was certified as a medical biller and coder. There, she was asked to speak on behalf of the school’s graduates.

She is survived by her son, Jason Ulrich; sister, Kathy (Tony) Mangante; brother, Eric (Cathie) Ulrich; and best friend, Vira Segni, all of Knights Ferry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allan And Lucile Ulrich; and brother, Mark Ulrich.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 15 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, with burial following at Knights Ferry Cemetery.
