Sept. 16, 1928 – Dec. 20, 2014

   Born and raised in Phoenix AZ, Graduate of Arizona State College.

   Worked for Rocketdyne International in the late 50’s and then moved to Rio Dell were he got a degree in teaching from Humboldt State.  Moved to Modesto in 1961 where he was hired as the  Superintendent of Milnes School and then moved to Oakdale in 1962.

   He spent 10 years at Milnes School as Superintendent, Principal, 7th & 8th grade teacher and bus driver for school field trips. After 10 years at Milnes School he was promoted to principal of Rio Altura, in Riverbank,  California.

   He retired after 26 years from the Riverbank Elementary School District to start his own computer business.

   A resident of Oakdale for the past 52 years, he was active in the community and the LDS Church.

   He leaves behind 5 children; Kirke Cahoon of Colterville, Steve Cahoon of Oakdale, Melodie Webb of Oakdale, Jeannie Hoeh of Maricopa, Arizona and Dave Cahoon of Oakdale. 17 Grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.    He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne Cahoon.    A memorial service will be held in the LDS Chapel in Oakdale, on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00am.
