Mildred B. ‘Mickey’ Burtschi, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 17 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Los Angeles to Herman Davis and Ruth Cutler. She attended Monroe High School, graduating in 1965. She also attended Ventura City College.

She married Rudi Burtschi on Sept. 13, 1986.

She had a long career in banking, starting out as a teller for Allstate Bank when she was 23 years old and eventually became a branch manager. After years as a branch manager, she decided to make a career change and became a financial advisor, which allowed her to travel the country advising individuals on their retirement.

Mrs. Burtschi lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed watching her two sons play football and wrestle for Oakdale High School, spending time with family and friends, going to Hawaii, and decorating her houses.

She is survived by her husband, Rudi Burtschi; sons, John Gumbert, Rudi Burtschi, Jr.; mother, Ruth Cutler; sisters, Vickie Maksim, Candy Sevo, Nancy Baughman, Heidi Davis; five nieces; and eight nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Community Christian Reformed Church, 131 West F St., Oakdale. Following the service, a celebration of her life will be at the F.E.S. Hall, 190 N. Lee Ave., Oakdale.
