Marie Jericoff

Marie Jericoff, 77, of Oakdale died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 3 with her daughter by her side. She was born in Shawnee, OK to Orville and Jessie Mae Sachse.

As a child, her father was a foreman for his uncle, a Post Office building contractor during the wartime building program. As a result, she and her parents moved with his assignments to Virginia, New York, Nevada and Oklahoma prior to coming to Oakdale in 1946. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1950 and Modesto Jr. College in 1952.

Mrs. Jericoff was a volunteer for 25 years for various organizations including Oak Valley District Hospital Foundation.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Jericoff of Nampa, ID; daughter, Lisa (Matthew) Fitzgerald of Chico; sister, Rosemary (John) Rogolino of Folsom; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; and longtime vigilant friends, Dick, Trudy, Hazel and Robert.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Jericoff, in 1980.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 at the H – B, 401 East F, Oakdale.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Oak Valley District Hospital Foundation, 350 So. Oak Ave., Oakdale, CA 95361.
