Lillian L. Colombo, 84, died Sunday, Jan. 31 at her Oakdale home.

She was born in Byron on Aug. 12, 1925, one of seven sisters, to John and Mary Lemos.

Mrs. Colombo would never call herself a housewife, she said she was a rancher because she worked side-by-side with her husband.

She had many hobbies, which included playing cards, crocheting, making puzzles, baking cookies, making party mix and reading.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Native Daughters of the Golden West, Crafty Ladies, Diamond Walnut Association, and California Farm Bureau.

She is survived by her children, Henry (Eleanor) Colombo, Jeannie (Anthony) Ribeiro and David (Vicki) Colombo; sisters, Angie Texeira, Roselyn Imbesi, and Shirley Davis; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry; sisters, Mary Bray, Helen Del Nero, Madeline Damos; and granddaughter, Vivian Colombo.

A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice or your favorite charity.
