Lawrence “Tiger” Lorea, 81, died Saturday, July 27 at his Roseville home.

He was born in Modesto to the late Isidoro and Angela Lorea. He was raised in Oakdale and Knights Ferry. He was a graduate of Oakdale High School. He lived in Oakdale for more than 20 years.

Mr. Lorea retired from Pacific Bell after 31 years of service. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and bowling together for over 49 years. He was an avid Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his wife, Marge; children, Lorna Lorea, Bret Lorea, Rosemarie Lorea (Brian Callister); twin sister, Lucille Stewart of Modesto; and grandchildren, Liam, Erin, and Connor Callister.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Victor and John Ystilart, William and Albert Lorea; sisters, Stephanie Mullins, Felicia Muniain, Theresa Taglio, Claire Lorea, and Isidora Carson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Mount Vernon Cemetery, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks. A celebration of life will follow at his home in Roseville.
