LaVerne F. Blanco, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 11 at Oak Valley Hospital.

She was a native of Redwood City and lived in Oakdale for 34 years.

Mrs. Blanco was a data processor at Oakdale High School for 21 years.

She is survived by her children, John Blanco of Washington, Barbara Bell of Ceres, James Blanco of Oakdale, Joseph Blanco of Modesto, Jeffery Blanco of Oregon; sisters, Lorraine Ayres of Washington, Helen of Oregon; brothers, William Lawrence of California, Clyde Landis of San Jose; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18 at Golden Gate National Cemetery. Visitation was held Nov. 16.

Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial Chapels in charge of arrangements.
