Irene Loraine Baptiste, 74, died Friday, July 31 at her Oakdale home.

She was a native of Hawaii. She lived in Oakdale 10 years.

Mrs. Baptiste was a bookkeeper for 12 years.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Baptiste of Oakdale; children, Wayne Froncek of Castro Valley, Larry Froncek of Hayward, Cathy Fitzsimmons of Valley Springs, Michael Froncek of Florida, Kathy Brunk of Aptos, Robert Baptiste of Alamo, and Judi Forth of Tracy; sisters, Evelyn Catron of Virginia, Rose Wallace of Hayward, Minnie DoSantos of Hawaii, and Angie Parlati of Hawaii; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
