Ida A. Levin, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 22.

She was born Ida Arley Napier in Knights Ferry to parents Esther and Claude Napier. She was raised in Knights Ferry along with her siblings. She graduated from Oakdale High School.

She worked many years as a school bus driver, a cattlewoman at her ranch north of Oakdale, and finally as administrator of Hutton House in Modesto.

Mrs. Levin’s final years were spent on her favorite pursuits: gardening, time with her many friends, volunteering countless hours with Alcoholics Anonymous, and loving her family, not necessarily in that order.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Ronald) Rogers of New York, Leta Roles of Oakdale, Lynette Murphy of Twain Harte; stepchildren, Bobby and Karen Levin of Oakdale; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bessie Sefreid, Larry Napier, Mary Napier, and Leanna Sooy.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at River Oak Grace Church, 7712 Rodden Road, Oakdale. Interment at private services in Knights Ferry.
