Ewald Richard Seifert, 101, died Sunday, Dec. 5 at his Oakdale home.

He was a native of Russell, Manitoba, Canada. He lived in Oakdale 49 years.

Mr. Seifert was a store manager for Safeway for 37 years.

He is survived by his children, Janice Truman of Oakdale, Richard (Teresa) Seifert of Modesto; grandchildren, Duane and Robert Wolfe, Michael Seifert; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Genevieve Seifert; three sisters; and seven brothers.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
