Evelyn Inez Trahan, 55, died Thursday, Sept. 12 at her Oakdale home with her family by her side.

She was born in Yuba City.

Mrs. Trahan worked for the Foster Farms Hatchery for 31 years. If she was not at work, she would be found playing bingo, watching movies, playing cards or spending time with her family.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Jody Trahan of Ceres, Michael Trahan of Oakdale; siblings, Trena (Bruce) Swinney of Biggs, Stephnie (Jerry) Cross of Yuba City, Judy Maral of Yuba City, William (Lynn) Thomas, Jr. of Michigan, Jim (Donna) Thomas of Oakdale, and Kenny (Sylvia) Thomas of Gridley; grandchildren, Hayley, Makayla, Michelle, William, Danielle, Michael Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Trahan, Sr.; son, Phillip ‘PeeWee’ Trahan; Jr.; parents, William and Betty Thomas; and sister, Georgette Schmidt.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 W. F Street, Oakdale.
