Glen Ingram, 87, of Oakdale passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2018. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He never met a stranger; everyone he talked with became a friend. Glen possessed the wonderful gift of gab. Glen was born in Oakdale, California to Emery and Lola Ingram. He lived in Oakdale his whole life except while in the Navy. He married the love of his life Ruby Carpenter in 1954. They had two sons, Marcus and Michael. Glen served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, Odd Fellows Lodge, Moose Lodge, and the Rebekah’s where he held many different positions throughout the years, and loved being very involved with all the clubs. One of the joys later in life was to be Santa for his clubs and even grew out his hair and beard to fit the part. He loved visiting with friends and family. In his younger years he was in the Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts.
He is survived by his son Michael Ingram of St. Louis, Mo, daughter in-law Darcy Ingram of Portage, WI, grandchildren April (Ted) Farrey of Rio, WI, Jennifer Craig of Modesto, CA, Jeremiah Julson of Portage WI, Amber (Jeremiah) Hoggle of Sonora, CA, Jessica Julson of Portage WI, Jake (Amanda) Julson of Portage and Sebastian (Whitney) Ingram of Cheyenne, WY and many great grandchildren. Special friends that were like family Richard Clay and Ron and Helen Watson. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby, and son Marcus.
A Celebration of his life will be held at The Odd Fellows Hall, 110 N. Yosemite Ave., Oakdale on April 27, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
