Elaine K

Elaine Marie Buzzetta (Gogna) passed from this life on January 4, 2018 at the age of 63 following a courageous and determined battle against cancer. Elaine died in peaceful repose at her home in Oakdale, California surrounded by the love of family and friends and aided in her transition by a wonderful supportive hospice staff. Elaine was the third of Ernie and Elva Gogna’s three children. Born on June 1, 1954 in Stockton, California, she graduated from Franklin High School in Stockton and attended San Jose State University.
Elaine spent much of her life “doing for others”. She volunteered her time, energy and talents to a host of charitable organizations. She loved interacting with family and a huge circle of friends, whether in person or through various forms of electronic media. She had a unique ability, inherited from her mother, to transform any gathering into a “party” by simply being part of it. And with no disrespect to Mrs. Fields, Elaine made the best chocolate chip cookies.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elva Gogna. She is survived by her loving husband John, two adoring adult children, Nicole and Kristin, her father Ernie Gogna, and siblings Mike Gogna (Rosie) and Diane Musto (Gary). She is also survived by her father-in-law, Andy Buzzetta, sister-in-law Cindy Cruz (Mario), and brothers-in-law Jerry Buzzetta (Barbara) and Mark Buzzetta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of her life is being planned by her family with no specific date or location yet determined. Any remembrances in her honor can be made to a charity of choice.
