Bill P. Abbott, 58, died Saturday, Nov. 10 of a sudden illness in Modesto.
He was born in Lincoln, Neb. He lived in Oakdale since 1979.
Mr. Abbott was a forklift operator for Ball Can Company in Oakdale since 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Eva R. Abbott of Oakdale; daughter, Connie (Daniel Jr.) Carreira of Oakdale; son, Paul (Denise) Froman Jr. of Coquille, Ore.; sisters, Deborah Wallace of Brawley, Rebecca Lumsden of Australia; brothers, Mike Abbott of Vacaville, Danny Abbott of Modesto; Pat Abbott of Oakdale; two brother-in-laws; three sister-in-laws; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rueben and Margie Abbott; and brother, Tom Abbott.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life to follow.
