Alta Nadine Fisher, 94, passed away at her home in Escalon early Thursday morning, April 1.

She was born on July 19, 1915 in Ripon.

She was very artistic and creative and enjoyed keeping busy doing arts and crafts, making porcelain dolls and gallery glass and sewing; even making clothing and prom dresses for her children and formal dresses for Eastern Star. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Big Valley Grace Church, Eastern Star, and the Atlanta Women’s Club.

Survivors include her children, Jeanne (Bud) Huntley of Oakdale, Gail Kimbrell of Rancho Cordova, Barbara Langum of Escalon, Joan Kassis of Mather, and Don (Mary) Fisher of Modesto; her grandchildren Karen Huntley, Katherine Selover, Kimberly Huntley, Cherie Kimbrell, Michelle Bailey, Terry Conyers, Daniel Langum, Doug Langum, Leann Martinez, Mark Kassis, Jeremy Kassis, Angie Magnuson, Starr Duarte, and Kate Moore; 21 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Fisher in 1997, her granddaughter Jennifer Kassis, her brother Merlin Miller as well as her parents Leslie and Lila Miller.

Graveside service was Tuesday, April 6 at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
