This past weekend, our hearts were heavy as we remembered those we lost on September 11, 2001! We remembered watching the horrific images on TV as the Twin Towers fell ... the planes, the smoke and debris, the innocent lives that were lost ... we will never forget the overwhelming sense of loss on that tragic day.

Families were torn apart forever, never to be together again; the loss is unbearable to those who suffered at the hands of evil that day.

Our hearts remember, we grieve for those innocent lives that perished, we grieve for the families, twenty years later our hearts are heavy with sadness.

With evil at the controls 2,977 lives were lost in New York City, Washington DC, and on the outskirts of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

I felt the overwhelming sadness once again as I talked with my grandchildren about the senseless tragedy of that horrible day; a day many of our grandchildren will read about in the history books of our country ... a day we must always remember. We will forever remember the innocence that evil people stole from us that day, the grief we still feel when we think of the beautiful lives lost on September 11, 2001. That grief will never lessen! Twenty years later we bow our heads and pray; we pray for the families, we pray for healing, we pray for God to give strength to all!
