Our hearts are broken … we send our deepest sympathy to the family of Whisper Owen and her precious baby Sandra. After being missing since July 15th, Whisper and baby Sandra were recovered at Victory Road and Highway 120 … their vehicle was in the water there. May God bring comfort to their dear family. Thank you to all who were involved in this recovery … a special thank you to Adventures With Purpose and diver Juan Heredia.

A very heartfelt thanks to the locals; neighbors in the area who did all they could to make Whisper’s family comfortable during this very hard day.

This week we also send Congratulations to an amazing Valley Home lady. Audrey Rinna enjoyed many sweet memories during her anniversary week … memories with her beloved husband high in the Sierra Mountains and years of memories here with him here in Valley Home. Thank you, Audrey, for all you have done for us here in Valley Home.

Excitement in the Sierra Nevada Mountains; if one follows the highway through Valley Home, Oakdale and Knights Ferry they will arrive within a couple of hours at beautiful Kennedy Meadows Resort and Pack Station. This weekend the mountains will come alive with the sound of amazing music. Many great artists are scheduled to appear … the three-day music festival will run from Friday to Sunday. Headlining the event will be The Haggard Brothers. What a special weekend high up in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains.
