This evening, our Valley Home students are showcasing their scientific knowledge. This will be the first ever “Hawks Night”. Gym doors open at 6:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 8th. Awards ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there! Our students are working hard to create fascinating projects to share with you. Everyone is welcome. Come show your support to our young people!

Tuesday, May 7th was Teacher Appreciation Day! Students brought tokens of appreciation to their teachers and expressed their appreciation of their teachers’ hard work all year long. We are blessed with wonderful, caring teachers at Valley Home School. Our teachers are greatly appreciated each and every day. Thank you to all!

Our family has enjoyed the company of family from out of state for the last couple of weeks. Jack Keaster and Debbie Keaster are here from Emmet, Idaho and Danny Hopper is here from Edgar, Montana. It has been a very special time for our family!

Our MAC meeting was well attended with many questions, concerns and opinions being voiced. Definitely more conversation will take place concerning the cannabis grow application on LonDale Road. The county will make the final decision.

Valley Home School students enjoyed participating in the track meet at Paradise School last Friday. Many brought home ribbons and awards. Congratulations to an amazing group of kids! This Friday, our Valley Home students of the month will enjoy a delicious lunch, with all students attending the awards ceremony at 2:15 p.m.

This week our 3rd graders will go on a field trip to Moaning Caverns, our 1st graders will go on a field trip to “Happy Artists Studio” and on Monday, our 5th graders will visit “Fun with Science” in Livermore. What a great way to end the school year! Last day of school is May 23rd!

This week I would like to end this column by once again sending a heartfelt “Thank You” to our Fire Department for coming to our home on May 14th, three years ago and using their amazing training to do everything they could for my husband, Richard. Words cannot express our appreciation for the love and support you continue to give our family.
