This Friday our Valley Home School basketball teams will play Shiloh at Valley Home! What an exciting day for both schools. It is really special that our small schools still make it possible for so many students to play sports. So much team building, character building, learning to follow rules, and confidence building! All these things that are so important to being successful in life. Thank you to our small school Superintendent for continuing an important tradition!

On Tuesday, February 13th, Oakdale High counselors will come to Valley Home to visit with eighth grade students at 9 a.m. Wow this year is going by fast! Soon our eighth graders will be graduating and heading to high school.

Our Oakdale Rural Fire Department (Stanislaus Consolidated) will hold their monthly meeting at Valley Home Fire Station on Tuesday February 13th at 6 p.m. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Valley Home 4-H will be holding their annual Box Social fundraiser on Tuesday, February 13th. The live auction will start immediately after a very short business meeting at 7 p.m. Please consider attending and purchasing one or more of the great items up for bid! In past years there have been fruit trees, rose bushes, round up, horse shoe art, delicious pies, cakes, cobblers, and so much more. Your support would be much appreciated! The Box Social will be at the Baptist Church on the corner of Valley Home Road and Pioneer. Hope to see you there!

Also on Tuesday, February 13th, the Valley Home School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the school library. All are welcome!

Wednesday, February 14th will be a minimum day at Valley Home School. The students will enjoy class Valentine parties and then be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. What fun!

We offer congratulations to 4-H and FFA members who participated last Saturday in the Pacific Poultry Breeders Association Show held at Modesto Jr. College. Congratulations to all!
