Here are some happenings in and around Valley Home:

Park Board member Amanda Beltrami has put together a great Football Square Fundraiser for the park. For the past few weeks Amanda has worked hard to fill every square, thank you to all who purchased squares for this coming Sunday’s Super Bowl. You are very much appreciated.

Jessica Caudle is organizing an amazing day to help clean up our beautiful community. She is working with our county leaders and especially our County Supervisor Buck Condit.  ck has once again arranged for two big bins to be at our Valley Home School for us to place our garbage in. Please talk to Jessica about what items are considered hazardous and cannot be placed in the bins. “Love Valley Home” will be held on April 27th. Jessica needs your help, please consider joining in this effort in April; more information to come.

Our Valley Home young people shine:

Matt Cooley is having an amazing and very successful wrestling season.

Millie Cox enjoyed another successful gymnastics meet, this time in Santa Cruz.

Colton Farquer received an amazing payday for his tremendous rodeo talent.

We are very proud of all our Valley Home young people … please share your proud moments with us.

Here are some important upcoming dates:

Our Fire Board will meet Thursday, February 8th at 10am. All are encouraged to attend. With many of us losing our insurance coverage as companies leave California, it is a definite concern for our community. The meeting will be held at our Valley Home Fire Station this month.

Our Valley Home School Board will meet on Tuesday, February 13th at 6pm. The meeting will be held at our Valley Home School. All are welcome.

Sierra 4-H will have their monthly Club Meeting on February 19th at the IMDES Hall. Please consider supporting our hard working 4-Hers; this important evening will also be their annual Box Social. Your support would be greatly appreciated by all.
