Members of the Stanislaus County Civil Grand Jury have been selected, with their one-year term having started as of July 1, 2026.
The panel includes three Oakdale residents and one Riverbank resident among the 18 members. There is one vacancy and no alternates, said county officials.
Stanislaus County Superior Court Judge David Hood presided over the selection of the 2026-2027 Civil Grand Jury on Tuesday, June 30. The jury’s term is one fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.
The Civil Grand Jury serves as an independent body charged with investigating and reporting on the operations of local government. Its work results in written reports containing findings and recommendations designed to identify issues, improve government operations, and enhance accountability to the public.
Presiding Judge Sonny S. Sandhu appointed Larry Sanders of Turlock as Foreperson of the 2026-2027 Civil Grand Jury.
From Oakdale, Civil Grand Jury members are Bianca Signorelli, Chad Homme and Michael Eggener; from Riverbank, Kenneth Cosner is serving a term on the panel.
Also seated were Modesto residents Allan Conan, Anthony Gori, Charlene Cano, Clayton Franco, Dorothy Martin, Glenn Lewis, Jaime Rangel, James Felt, Timothy Buchanan and Timothy Moran. Turlock residents on the panel include foreman Larry Sanders, Maria Castillo, Marlinda Martins and Richard Foster.
Although the panel typically consists of 19 members, one vacancy currently exists and there are no alternates. Recruitment efforts are ongoing to fill the remaining position.
Immediately following the swearing-in ceremony, the panel participated in an orientation session. Jurors will also attend mandatory training presented by the California Grand Jurors’ Association on July 9 and 10, 2026.
