Funky Market 209 is an outdoor festival/event. This market has been in business since 2016 with the idea to create a platform for artisans, crafters, storefronts, businesses, non-profits, etc. to showcase their products, crafts and creations. Join in the fun at Kerr Park in Oakdale, 840 N. Stearns Road, on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for the latest edition of this ‘funky’ event.

Local vendors will offer home and garden items, clothing and fashion, as well as up cycled, repurposed, handcrafted, vintage items, non-profit, fundraising and informational booths. There will be some classic cars on display along with music, food and fun for the family.

Lisa Norris, promoter of this event, started her business in 2016 on her family’s property in east Oakdale and has been steadily growing year after year.

Through “The Serendipity Social” (Theserendipitysocial.com) Norris does many events in the 209 and this is her love and mission; creating a great experience for her vendors and her guests.

“We are honored to be voted a Best in the 209 winner year after year,” said Norris, adding that they were chosen as a 2021 winner for Best Outdoor Festival/Event in the 209. “Thank you for your support!”
