Police Warn Of Drug Overdose Increases
PATCH

The Oakdale Police Department, along with allied agencies, have seen an increase in Fentanyl-related overdoses. In these cases, Oxycodone pills, also known as M30s, are being counterfeited and many are fentanyl-laced. The blue, or sometimes white pills that are counterfeited, are produced illegally by individuals without any medical or pharmaceutical training, which can result in deaths, due to the strength of the fentanyl.

People are encouraged to dispose of these drugs in a safe and responsible way to avoid injury. The Oakdale Police Department has a secure “Drop the Drug” box in the lobby of the police department. It is accessible to the public during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All containers must be securely sealed.
