A unique program is on the schedule this week, as OakdaleARTS presents the 2025 Small Works Art Show and Fundraiser; an inspiring community event featuring more than 100 original pieces created by local artists and young creatives. The exhibition will culminate in a special evening reception on Thursday, May 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gallery Custom Framing, 132 N. Third Ave., in Oakdale.
Earlier this year, OakdaleARTS provided wood panels to artists of all ages, inviting them to create small-format artwork in any medium. The result, officials said, is a vibrant and diverse display of creativity, with each piece a unique reflection of the region’s talent and imagination.
A select group of artworks will be available through silent auction bidding, while all other pieces will be priced at $40 for 8”x8” panels and $20 for youth 6”x6” works. Bidding has already begun on auction pieces, and all donation sales directly support OakdaleARTS’ mission to bring more art, murals, and creative events to the community.
“We’re thrilled by the enthusiasm from both adult and youth artists,” said a spokesperson for OakdaleARTS. “The Small Works Show is a joyful expression of local creativity – and every purchase helps fund future art in Oakdale.”
The reception is free to attend. Following the reception, any unsold artwork will remain on display and available for purchase through June 15.
