Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 2-16-22

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Feb. 8 through Monday, Feb. 14. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, FEB. 14

Crews rotated through training at Station 17 and trained on various EMS skill sets.

8:55 p.m. – Crews were dispatched to a large fire at a recycling facility in the city of Ceres in the 2000 block of Morgan Road. Multiple alarms brought in firefighters from within Stanislaus County and San Joaquin County to attack the fire and backfill fire stations. Firefighters worked throughout the night keeping the fire from spreading to nearby businesses. Crews remained on scene for several hours working with the facility extinguishing fire in large piles of cardboard and metal.

 

SUNDAY, FEB. 13

12:15 p.m. – Engine 28 and Oak Valley Ambulance responded to Highway 120 and 26-Mile Road for a patient who was kicked by a horse. PHI Med 4-1 and Battalion Chief 5 responded as the patient was to be flown out to a trauma center.

 

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 9

No time listed – Battalion 5 companies continue to training with the new probationary firefighters.

 

TUESDAY, FEB. 8

10:49 a.m. – Engine 7, Truck 5 and Battalion Chief 5 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment; no address listed. Truck 5 arrived to find two vehicles involved and began to check on injuries. Truck 5 found two minor injuries with negative entrapment. MPD investigating.
