U.S. Representative Jeff Denham will hold a United States Military Academy Information Night on Monday, Sept. 23 in Modesto. The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Joseph A. Gregori High School and will provide extensive information about the various U.S. military academies. It will also provide information on how students can be nominated to attend the academies.

This annual event is open to all parents and students in the 8th through 12th grades from California’s 10th district. The U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Merchant Marines, and Coast Guard will have representatives in attendance, along with representatives from Rep. Denham’s office, to provide interested students with details of each academy’s work educating, training and preparing students for military service.

“As an Air Force veteran, I am proud to nominate students from our district each year to military academies that will inspire and prepare them to serve,” said Rep. Denham. “Military Academy Information Night helps answer any questions they may have about the nomination process, and I hope that this event will be as successful as last year’s, which included over 200 attendees.”

Information Night will take place in the multipurpose room of Joseph A. Gregori High School, located at 3701 Pirrone Road in Modesto.
