The Knights Ferry Museum is seeking docents to volunteer in the museum for a few hours a month. Docents only need a positive attitude to volunteer! Please contact Heather Voortman at the Creamery or Dolly Haskell at the Post Office for more information. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the community.

Knights Ferry School had a float in the annual Oakdale Rodeo parade. Many kids dressed in spirit wear and paraded down the main street in Oakdale. Amber Thompson dressed as the school’s mascot and danced her tail off! Go Bobcats!

The school’s Open House is April 18th with doors opening at 6pm. The Masons will announce the winners of their essay contest for grades 5-8. The students were able to choose between two topics: How can you give back to your community? How can you make a difference in the world?

Knights Ferry School is hosting a STEM Expo in the Community Club on April 17th and April 18th, tentative hours are 7pm-8pm for both days but please contact the school at 881-3382 for questions.

The students are looking forward to their school Easter parties and Spring Break starting on Friday!

The Link family held a bake sale outside of Kmart in Oakdale to raise money for a school in Uganda. The school in Uganda is hoping to expand their program to provide education and hope to more children who lack basic needs such as clean water and food. It is wonderful to see local families reaching out to other communities in the world! Thank you, James, Brooke, Maddox, Molly, Lucas, and Bella for your positive example!
