They say the third time is a charm; I hope so because this is the third CORRECTION on the birth of baby Kinsley Simons. Kody and Jordyn are the parents, John and Amy are the grandparents and Dave and Laura are the great-grandparents. I have known the family for over 30 years and you would think I could get it straight! Maybe it is time for a new reporter!

Knights Ferry buried another old-timer, Shirley Serpa. She lived on Morrison Road since 1973. She leaves behind sons Vern (Karen) and David and two granddaughters, Shae and Katherine. Services were held at the Knights Ferry Oak Grove Cemetery where she was buried next to husband Vernon.

At the meeting of the Knights Ferry History and Museum Associates, Dolly Haskell, Postmistress, wanted to thank all the patrons of the Post Office for their support. Sharon Page reported on the new heat and air system for the upstairs. With the effort of Thorsens and Norquist Plumbing and Jerry Hill Electrical the work was done. Yay! Planning for next year-the Peddlers Faire is April 23rd.

Knights Ferry School held their Winter (Christmas) Program last Thursday. They ran a Matinee and an evening performance. The beginning band hand bells performed “O Come Little Children”. They exited the stage and the Kindergarten sang, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”, all verses. The First and Second graders, with oversized candy canes, sang “Peppermint Candy Cane”. Next was Trexler Porter on the piano playing “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Interesting additions to the band program were Boom Whackers. Intermediate Band played “Disco Deck the Halls” on them. The Third and Fourth graders sang “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. Intermediate Band then played “O Christmas Tree” and the Fifth and Sixth grades sang “Light a Candle” with candles. The Junior High performed a play “Techno, or No-Tech,” where Santa meets technology. Refreshments were served afterwards. Thus ended another great program!
