A 53-year-old Oakdale woman was carjacked early Wednesday morning, Sept. 9 around 7 a.m. when two Hispanic men pulled her from her vehicle and threw her to the ground before making off with her truck.

According to police reports, Susan Campos had minor scrapes to both knees and elbows but refused medical treatment at the scene. The attack happened in the 1600 block of East G Street, behind Kmart. The thieves did not threaten Campos with a weapon and Campos attempted to fight off the two men. She ended up biting one of the men in the arm, according to police, but not hard enough to break the skin.

Campos was picking up a friend to carpool with to a technology school in Modesto when the attack occurred.

The victim was driving a black 2001 GMC Sierra pick up truck with an extended cab, and a rose sticker on the rear windshield. The license plate number is 6N50326.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle or the details regarding this crime is urged to call Det. Guillermo Manriquez at the Oakdale Police Department, 847-2231.
