Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 11-16-22

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Nov. 1 through Monday, Nov. 7. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, NOV. 14

Crews performed weekly equipment and apparatus checks; a couple of companies got together for company level training.

 

SUNDAY, NOV. 13

No call log available.

 

SATURDAY, NOV. 12

8:36 a.m. – Modesto E27, E28, and BC2 responded to Rodden Road and North Oak, Oakdale for a single vehicle accident. One patient with minor injuries was transported to an area hospital.

Crews completed the firefighter survival training and procedure review.

Crews completed Saturday station maintenance and cleaning.

Station 27 hosted a tour for a local Cub Scout Troop.

 

FRIDAY, NOV. 11

Crews trained on firefighter survival and mayday operations at the RFTC.

The joint firefighter academy worked on rope rescue system training.

Engine 27 and Deputy Chief Tietjen participated in the Veterans Day Parade in the City of Oakdale.

5:12 p.m. – Engine 28, Engine 27, Engine 23 and BC5 responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Valley Home Road. Engine 28 arrived to find three vehicles involved and began to investigate on injuries. A total of three ground ambulances and one air ambulance were utilized to treat and transport multiple patients from the scene. Engine 28 and Engine 29 assisted the Stanislaus County Coroner extricate a deceased victim from one of the vehicles. CHP was one scene investigating.

 

THURSDAY, NOV. 10

E21 and E26’s crew began the LED light conversion for Station 26.

 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 9

3:09 a.m. – E9 responded to a vehicle fire on Wellsford Road. E9 extinguished fire. FIU investigating.
