A group of young local individuals have banned together to create an event called the Phoenix Festival, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 1 at Ironstone Amphitheatre. This will be a day long family oriented event with a full lineup of local bands, vendors and resources. All proceeds from the Phoenix Festival will go directly to the Calaveras Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund.

The Calaveras Community Foundation (a 501c(3) non-profit) has created the Disaster Relief Fund to provide disaster assistance in Calaveras County, especially for those impacted by the Butte Fire. The Foundation will be focusing on post-event recovery and is currently assessing now best to use its financial resources.

The youth movement in Calaveras has been working diligently to bring this event to fruition to contribute to this fund, but more help is needed. Organizers are currently seeking vendors, sponsorships, silent auction and raffle items, volunteers and help spreading the word.

The Butte Fire Benefit Committee is asking for help to make this event possible.

If you would like to help them in anyway, contact them at: buttefirebenefit@gmail.com.

All are encouraged to join in for a day of fun for the whole family, coming together to help those affected by the Butte Wildland Fire. Enjoy a day packed with live music, food, beverages, vendors and fun. Bands are scheduled to include The Hot Dark, The Little Fuller Band, Risky Biscuits, Grover Anderson, The Brothers Strong & Co., Brian Jirka, 19 Nevermindies, and Jank Tones.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids five to 12 years old and four and under admitted free.

All proceeds to benefit The Calaveras County Community Foundation.
