Concours

The 22nd Annual Ironstone Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys.

Ironstone Concours d’Elegance – the annual antique and classic car show – will take place at the beautiful grounds of Ironstone Vineyards in the gold country of the Sierra Nevadas. Concours d’Elegance features 300 antique and classic cars, as well as vintage trailers and motorcycles.

More than 3,000 visitors enjoy the beauty of the automobiles in the ambiance of the stunning landscape on the grounds of Ironstone Vineyards at 1894 Six Mile Road in Murphys. General admission tickets are $25 per person. Children under 14 are admitted free.

There is something for everyone at Ironstone Concours. This year’s event will show an array of classic cars, from a 1915 Locomobile to a Russian 1961 Volga Gaz-M21 Sedan. Also on display will be a large, loud field of pre-World War I racecars, along with a multitude of modern exotics.

Select guests will get to be “riding mechanicians” in 100-year-old racers, pumping fuel and oil tanks.

Others can cruise Ironstone’s scenic lake in a fleet of Amphicars.

Proceeds from Ironstone Concours benefit youth agricultural programs, including 4-H and Future Farmers of America. Funds raised also provide scholarships and camping opportunities for youth.
