Hot, dry summers signal the start up of the annual, free Concerts in the Park sponsored by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and various community businesses and organizations. This year the kick-off concert, featuring popular community band, Remedy, will be Friday, July 17. Remedy is popular for their classic rock and country sound so this is a concert, as the entire line-up, not to miss.
The concerts, held at Dorada Park on A Street, start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

• July 24 — Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit (country and bluegrass)
• July 31 — Community Band (instrumental)
• Aug. 7 — Steadfast Heart (contemporary Christian rock/praise)
• Aug. 14 — Barbara Findlay & Jim Ramont (‘70s and ‘80s light acoustic rock)
• Aug. 21 — Taillights (classical and blues rock)
• Aug. 28 — Fabulous Blue Notes (jump, swing and rock and roll)
