A girl, Emma Novella Dargitz, was born Oct. 18, 2011 to expectant parents Brendan and Amanda Dargitz of Oakdale. The newborn weighed six pounds, 10 ounces upon arrival at Samaritan Hospital in Watertown, New York.
The mother is the former Amanda Kearsley.
The father is in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Drum, New York.
Robert and Anita Kearsley of Oakdale are the maternal grandparents.
Larry Dargitz of Stockton and Joy Anne Montez of Oakdale are paternal grandparents.
