A girl, Dezerai Leigh Edwards, was born Dec. 31, 2011 to expectant mother Marion Leanna Edwards of Waterford. The newborn weighed seven pounds, 6 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.
Hortensia Edwards of Sacramento is the maternal grandmother.
