The American Hockey League’s Stockton Heat returns for the 2018-2019 season this weekend.

The Stockton Heat will host Ontario at the Stockton Arena on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.

On Sept. 29, the Heat hosted Bakersfield in a preseason contest that saw the Condors cool off the Heat 4-3. Goaltender Tyler Parsons stopped 45 of 49 shots for Stockton. Scoring goals for the Heat were Tyler Graovac with a pair and Zach Fischer scored a goal in the third period. Stockton’s regular season opener will be held on the road when they take on Bakersfield on Friday, Oct. 5. This Saturday, rally towels and Heat magnet schedules will be handed out to fans while supplies last.

Last season the Heat finished in sixth place in the Pacific Division finishing with a record of 34-28, just missing the playoffs. The Heat will also be at home in a game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. when they host the San Jose Barracuda for Latino Heritage Day.
