To former Valley Home News writer Laura Burghardt and her husband Glenn, the changing colors of the fall season is one of their favorite times to take a nice quiet drive through our community and the surrounding areas. This week is “Red Ribbon Week” at Valley Home School. Monday - Red Day; Tuesday - Twin Day; Wednesday - Pajama Day; Thursday - Sports Day; Friday - Super hero/Disney Day.

On Thursday the Parent Teacher Club will meet in Mrs. Nabors classroom. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Meeting will start at 3:00 p.m.

Valley Home students will be treated to an exciting BMX Motor Cross assembly on Monday, Oct. 31st. The day will also include a Halloween Costume Parade throughout downtown Valley Home. The parade will start at 11:30 a.m. Find a safe spot and hand out your favorite “store bought” treats to your Valley Home trick or treaters. Classroom parties will follow with school being dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Happy Trick-or-Treating to all!

Remember to come out and support your Valley Home Volleyball and Football teams this Friday October 28th. Your Valley Home Hawks will play Roberts Ferry at home. Games will start at 11:30 a.m. Go-o-o-o Hawks!

Austin, who is attending school at Cal Poly had the most terrific birthday when his dad, Kevin and girlfriend Megan made the trip to San Luis Obispo to enjoy his birthday dinner with him! What a great dad and what a beautiful, sweet girlfriend. Happy Birthday Austin!
