Dear Editor,
I am truly humbled by the support and generosity of this community. I was recently elected to the Oakdale Joint Unified School District Board. I have volunteered in Oakdale Schools at all levels for over 16 years and have witnessed the dedication of the administration, school board members, teachers, staff and parents. Oakdale Joint Unified is an exceptional district with financial stability, high student test scores, above average graduation rate, and amazing parent participation. I am blessed not only to live here, but to have had my children attend Oakdale Schools, with two of the three now in college and one in high school. In these uncertain financial times, Oakdale Joint Unified School District has worked with all parties involved and sacrificed what was necessary for every student in the district to have what they deserve, a quality education. As a parent, it is a comfort knowing that our children have quality teachers and administrators who truly care about their future. I absolutely love this community and want to thank everyone who passed out flyers, put yard signs out, endorsed me financially and supported me as a friend. It is an honor for me to serve as a trustee on the Oakdale Joint Unified School Board and I am sincerely appreciative for the opportunity.
