Over $6000 was donated by 110-plus people at a fundraiser on October 8th for Oakdale’s Animal Shelter exercise yard. The yard will be used for dogs to get acquainted with other dogs and people and conduct basic training programs. Dogs that have been exercised and socialized are far more adoptable.
We are also collecting donations to improve our current facility which is too small and outdated for the animal population. Oakdale Pet Station has agreed to make space for a cat condo; this will allow us to show the cats that are available for adoption. In the future funds will go for a low cost spay-neuter program.
