Wilma was born in Oakdale, CA and then later resided in Modesto for the rest of her years. As a young child, she learned to ride horses and helped tend to her family’s ranch. Her parents opened Web’s Drive In in the 1950’s with a motto of ‘Modesto’s finest and first original self-service drive-in.’ She enjoyed working there with her two older brothers and took pride in a popular menu item named after her, the ‘Willie Burger’.
As an adolescent, Wilma joyfully showed horses and competed professionally. She won first place in the Grand National Junior Championship in 1972, at the Cow Palace, in San Francisco.
“Willie” was known for many things including her playful sense of humor, being a truly kind soul, and above all, her love for her family. She once told her youngest daughter that it was her destiny to be a mom. She was incredibly proud of her daughters’ personal and professional achievements, as she often told them. She made each holiday exceptionally special with her warmth, stunning décor, and delicious food.
We will miss her every day, until we meet again in God’s heavenly kingdom.
Wilma is survived by her beloved family; husband, Neil Brady, cherished daughters, Jeanette Loeffler and Corinne Jaspar; stepdaughters, Heather Brady, Alicia Dodson and Tricia Brady; dearest grandchildren, Kayden Jaspar and Katie Jaspar and Ali and Lucas Dodson; and esteemed brother, Steve Boland. She is preceded in death by her mother Neva Boland, father, Robert Boland and her oldest brother, Dwayne Hester.
A memorial funeral service will be held on January 28th at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial, located at 900 Santa Fe, Hughson, CA 95326.
