Virgil Lee Miller, 73, died Thursday, July 4 of natural causes in Oakdale.

He was born in West Point, Ill. He lived in Oakdale for 25 years.

Mr. Miller was a retired guard at an auto dismantler in the Bay Area.

He is survived by his sisters, Illeyne Dorris Doyle of Redwood City, Carol, and Becky, both of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Edna Miller.
